Thanks to all who were able to donate to the Giving Tree! Together we were able to donate to students and their families that needed a bit of extra help this holiday season.
Yearbook Recognition Ads
Celebrate your 5th-grade student's elementary milestone by sending them a shout out in the 2021-2022 yearbook! Recognition Ads are on sale at Jostens through December 31, 2021. Ads cost $10 and are only for our 5th-grade students. Visit www.jostensadservice.com, find your school, locate the option "Yearbook Recognition Ads" directly under the "2022 Yearbook" link, and follow the online instructions. Don't forget to purchase your yearbook at the same time!

Volunteer Opportunities
Clothes Closet
One of the important activities the Teravista PTA helps with is the RRISD Clothes Closet. Each year the Clothes Closet helps over 1,000 students providing gently used clothing and new socks and new underwear. If you know a student who needs clothing please have them contact the school nurse for a voucher.
TvE PTA also volunteers to work at the RRISD Clothes Closet once a month helping to fill the vouchers for students and their families. Our volunteer day is the third Thursday of each month at Voigt Elementary School. Our next volunteer day is January 20. If you are interested in volunteering at the Clothes Closet please check out

Get to know Joy Hatch - Communications and Reflections
Why did you join PTA?
I joined PTA because a friend was on the board and recommended I check it out. I'm glad I did! Thanks, Amanda! Last year I was the Communications Chair, and this year I picked up Reflections, too.
What is your favorite thing about Teravista?
My daughter has had wonderful teachers, who really care about her and want the best for her.
What are some of your favorite hobbies
I love to read!
I enjoy playing board games and video games with my family. We currently have Mousetrap set up on our kitchen table, and I'm working on beating the next level of Trackmania.
I like to crochet, resulting in WAY too many scarves for a Texas household. :)
My daughter and I are both in Tae Kwon Do.
