While there, you will help sort donations, hang clothes, and assist in filling electronic vouchers. Sign up for a slot if you are able! Our clothes closet is in need of donations. They desperately need Boys Pants/ Sweatpants in all sizes 4t-XLg and Juniors/ Mens pants/sweats in all sizes. They also need Junior/ Mens Coats of all sizes. Volunteering Another great way to help? Get on the list! We know that not everyone has time to volunteer in the building, but there are so many ways to help! We are building our list of people to reach out to when we need some extra hands. Sometimes, we just need help with donations! In the meantime, fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and we'll be in touch when more opportunities come up. Spirit Wear Show some Tiger Pride! This year's spirit wear is for sale now in our PTA shop. We have two new designs and our Legacy Lighthouse design comes in a long-sleeve tee and hoodie for more options. We know you all took a ton of pictures at Meet the Teacher night and on the First Day of School... we saw them posted all over social media! Just fill out the Yearbook Photo Submission form and upload your pictures. If you're having trouble because you don’t have a google account, you can also email pics to yearbook@teravistapta.com . Please include student's name, grade, and the event. Volunteers Needed for the Yearbook Committee! No experience in photography or graphic design necessary! We will need some help taking photos at school events (with your cell phone - no fancy camera needed) and/or adding photos to layout pages online. Join our waitlist now for your chance to receive a book before the end of the year. You will be contacted with a Square invoice if a book is available for your child.     We've made it to May! Only 3 weeks left of the school year... It's National Teacher Appreciation Week! A BIG THANK YOU! We appreciate all the time and effort that went into making door posters for our staff. You all did an amazing job! A special thanks to all of the volunteers that came out to hang posters on Friday. We hope the staff really enjoyed walking in this morning to a fully decorated school! WANT TO KEEP THE CELEBRATION GOING? Spoil your teacher this week with these themed days! School of Excellence Survey - We need YOU! Two years ago, we had the honor of becoming a PTA School of Excellence. In order to keep that status, we need to hear from YOU!     Happy Earth Day! We're heading into the last month of school but there's still a lot happening... The Yogurt Experience Spirit Night is Tomorrow, Tuesday April 23rd Stop by any time they're open and get your whole family a special treat! Our next School-wide PTA Meeting is next Monday, April 29th We invite all PTA members and their kids to join us. We will be voting in our executive officers for the 2024-2025 school year! The nominating committee submits the following nominees for the 2024-2025 school year. President: Sabine McCalla VP1: Rohan Sreenivasan VP2: Melanie Fulk Secretary: Kelly Brewer Smith Treasurer: Alma Langan Families will have the opportunity to make cards for Veterans at the meeting. The PTA is working with Honor Flight Austin  to get these cards to Veterans in our area. We will supply the materials, we just need your creativity! National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th Let's show our staff how much we appreciate all they do for our kiddos! FEELING CRAFTY? Help us appreciate our amazing teachers and staff by creating door posters to tell them why they are superstars. These don’t have to take a ton of time or supplies either! Check out some ideas below or checkout Pinterest for some inspiration. Consider creating a poster (or two) by signing up below. DON'T HAVE TIME TO MAKE A POSTER? That's ok! Spoil your teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week with these fun, themed days! These are NOT requirements by any means, just some suggestions. URGENT NEED: YEARBOOK CHAIR FOR 2024-2025 We love that we are fortunate enough to have a yearbook every year, and we don’t want next year's classes to miss out! IF WE DO NOT GET A VOLUNTEER TO CHAIR THE YEARBOOK COMMITTEE, THERE WILL BE NO YEARBOOK NEXT YEAR. Anyone can do it! The program is easy to use. This position has an 8 person committee to help create pages and assist with photography. Initial training and support throughout the year will be provided by previous chair. RRISD Clothes Closet is "hiring" and they are still need of donations! They are "hiring" extra managers and, in a new role, assistant managers.     The Lighthouse Festival is less than 3 weeks away! We're still looking for help to make it a success. See details in this week's newsletter! Our Annual Lighthouse Festival is March 22, 2024 Pre-order Your Wristbands by Tuesday, 3/19 and SAVE $2 each! K-12th Grade Wristbands: $15 Ages 2 - Pre-K Wristbands: $10 Wristbands are not required for adults or children under 2. Prices at the door will increase to $17 (K-12) and $12 (Ages 2-Pre-K) LIGHTHOUSE FESTIVAL BASKET DONATIONS NEEDED! Due to very low theme basket donations, we are extending the deadline to March 8th We are asking students of each grade level to send in donations from the theme(s) assigned to your grade. Donations can be anything that you think goes along with these themes! They will be used to create baskets that will be included in the Silent Auction.
