Clothes Closet

One of the important activities the Teravista PTA helps with is the RRISD Clothes Closet. Each year the Clothes Closet helps over 1,000 students providing gently used clothing and new socks and new underwear. If you know a student who needs clothing please have them contact the school nurse for a voucher.

TvE PTA also volunteers to work at the RRISD Clothes Closet once a month helping to fill the vouchers for students and their families. Our volunteer day is the third Thursday of each month at Voigt Elementary School. Our next volunteer day is March 24. If you are interested in volunteering at the Clothes Closet please check out

We still need a volunteer to be the Teravista PTA Board Chair for the Clothes Closet. If you're interested in serving as the PTA Board Chair for the Clothes Closet, please email

PTA Member Spotlight

Fun Facts:

I grew up in a little city right outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I am a die-hard LSU Tiger Fan (even though the football team has been a mess this year). I used to own a clothing boutique in Baton Rouge. The beach is my favorite place. Sky diving and a hot air balloon ride are both on my bucket list.

What's your favorite thing about Teravista Elementary?

My favorite thing about TvE is how welcome I've always felt there. Not just the teachers and staff, but also the fellow parents. I really like our community.

Why did you join PTA?

I joined the PTA so I could feel more connected to what was happening at the school and in my kids' lives. I also really enjoy volunteering. Belonging to the PTA provided opportunities to get involved inside the school, where I could meet more of the staff and see more of the building. Now I feel like I know exactly where my children are going every day.

Share about your kiddos: My kids are FINALLY at the same school this year. (Yay for only one drop off and one pick up!) I have a girl in Kindergarten and a boy in 3rd grade.

What are some of your hobbies? Reading, shopping, hiking, and cuddling my West Highland Terrier, Magnolia.
