School of Excellence Survey
The Teravista Elementary PTA knows that a strong partnership among our families, school leaders and community members is important to the success of our students and school. That’s why we are participating in the National PTA School of Excellence program, which grows partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students.
At a National PTA School of Excellence, families feel welcomed and empowered to support student success, and PTA is a key partner for continuous school improvement. We feel Teravista Elementary and Teravista Elementary PTA can achieve that together—and the result will be national, state and community-wide visibility for the positive impact we are making together at Teravista Elementary.
We need your help! As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. Your feedback will help us improve our family-school partnership and achieve excellence.
Please take 5-10 minutes to reflect on your experience at this school and complete the survey linked below. Choose the response that most accurately expresses how you feel about your experience. This survey is completely anonymous. Please complete this survey by Sunday November 14, 2021.

Yearbook Recognition Ads
Celebrate your 5th-grade student's elementary milestone by sending them a shout out in the 2021-2022 yearbook! Recognition Ads are on sale at Jostens through December 31,2021. Ads cost $10 and are only for our 5th-grade students. Visit www.jostensadservice.com, find your school, locate the option "Yearbook Recognition Ads" directly under the "2022 Yearbook" link, and follow the online instructions. Don't forget to purchase your yearbook at the same time!

Reflections Art Program
Thanks to all who submitted! We had twenty-two entries in categories of Visual Arts, Photography, Music Composition, Literature, and Film Production. The ceremony for all participants is Tuesday, 11/9 in the library. The artists advancing to the next level will be announced at the ceremony.

Why did you join PTA?
I joined the PTA for a few reasons! I wanted to be more involved and knowledgeable about what was happening at school. I was also looking for more opportunities to get to know other parents and build relationships.
What’s a fun fact about you?
I love to restore furniture.
What's your favorite thing about Teravista Elementary?
Favorite thing about TVE: I love that even though it’s such a large school it still feels like a small community. The staff, students, and parents all work so well together to support one another.

I have 3 daughters. One at Hopewell in 6th grade, 2 at TVE in 1st and 4th grade.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Camping and other outdoor activities, traveling, crafts, and decorating.
